We already knew, we could expect an authentic and thrilling performance, when we invited Natty and his Band to play at the IsThereHop? anniversary. But then they simply blew us away. The energy they brought to the stage, their choice of tunes, their interpretation of old classics and their way of interacting with the audience was overwhelming and inspiring.

So it just seems normal to have them back this year. Doesn’t it?

The combo which is first and foremost known for its explosive and rousing interpretations of classic Hot Jazz, Swing, Rhythm‘n’Blues, and Gospel numbers does also have a reputation for its unique sense of style and presentations with its members dressed to the nines in sharp and eccentric tailored vintage attire. Whoever has seen band leader and legendary showman Natty Congeroo before, will also remember him for his flamboyant style and together with the other players of the band, The Sizzle, The Killer Diller, Lá Bass, Dr Kitch and La Mamba, the band will bring unrivalled levels of excitement and astonishing musical skills to IsThereHop? 2023.

On friday and saturday they let it rip at the Quartierzentrum Schütze! Will you be there?

They perform all over the world and this year they are coming to the IsThereHop?. Inspired by Jazz Manouche, the group delights young and old with their own compositions as well as new interpretations of old pieces. With Sophie Lüssi playing the violin, Felix Brühwiler playing the guitar, Claudio Strebel playing the double bass and David Beglinger providing drums and vocals, swing becomes fresh and novel.

The four musicians combine talent and experiences in many areas of music, such as the 21st Century Orchestra, songwriting and music production. They have been performing together since 2006 and have released two albums, songs of which are played on the swiss radio.

On sunday it’s gonna be swingy at the Moods Jazz Club! Will you swing by?

His passion for dancing music started when was still a little boy.The Berlin based gentleman is, not only a gifted musician but also an of the history of the German Swing Scene. He started working as DJ more than 20 years back in the club “Hafen” in his hometown. DJ Stephan Wuthe has since played at numerous events in Germany and abroad.

We were privileged to enjoy his instinct for the right tune at several IsThereHop? – parties in the past and we are delighted to have him back this year.

You haven’t had enough after the first party? Don’t worry! He’s going to honour us with his tunes at all three parties!

A real local and probably one of the biggest Swing DJ legends Zurich has seen so far! He’s been dancing and Dj-ing in the local Lindy Hop scene for what feels like ages. There is probably no swing dance floor in Zurich that DJ Johann Waldvogel hasn’t played his sets on, and hardly any Lindy Hopper who hasn’t swung to his tunes. His digital music repertoire is already mythical and ranges from the well-known swing superhits to unknown swing pearls.
